Rebekah's 40th Birthday Party!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of planning Rebekah Courtney's 40th Birthday Bash! It was so much fun and I was allowed to get a little bit creative with the party! I was asked to take on this task only 2 weeks before her birthday, which means I had to put this party together really fast! It came together perfect for the amount of time I had.

Here are a few pictures I was able to snap before the guests arrived!

One of Rebekah's favorite things is the beach. Anything that has to do with "tropical" she likes.  With that in mind, I incorporated sea blues, teals, and greens into the theme giving it that ocean tropical vibe. Above are 50 cupcakes that were passed out to the guests. This allowed everyone to make a wish for Rebekah on her birthday. Everyone had to blow out a candle making a wish for the birthday girl. Instead of just her one wish.... she got 50! =)

Above is the center pieces that were placed at each table. I tried to stick with the theme of tropical and summery. I chose to add a bit of pink into the mix to give it that extra "pazazz!"

Around each centerpiece I placed crushed shells, sea shells, and colored glass stones.

As you can see, we had our florist place a beautiful floating orchid in the center of the vase. This gave it a little something extra and unique!

The happy couple. Rebekah loved her party and was thrilled that her husband surprised her with a great birthday and lots of memories!

Stationary Ideas!

Here are some really cute and unique ideas when it comes to the "stationary" section of your event! Making creative and unique programs brings in an extra edge to your ceremony. Sending out snazzy thank you cards can be fun, cute, and more importantly time effective. Creating beautiful invitations sets the tone for the entire event. This is a key element.

When your guest receives a specific type of invitation in the mail it gives them an idea of what's to be expected. If it's fun and light hearted the event will most likely be relaxing and more casual. It it's sophisticated and chic the event will most likely be a little nicer then the average party. The stationary should never be forgotten. It's just as important as everything else.

This program brings out that certain feel the Bride and Groom were looking for. It's beautiful.

Here is an example of a very chic and sophisticated program.

A new trend that you may be seeing out there is pictures with signs.
These pictures are used in creating a Thank You card after the event.

It allows your guests to receive a little token or reminder of that special event they attended. Sending out this type of Thank You card is unique and also very creative and personal. Your guests will love it!

Kiss The Girl Video

Below is a section I pulled out of Danica and Justin's movie to share with you! It's one of my favorite sections. It's all about the girls! =) Hope you enjoy!

It's Trendy Thursday

It's Trendy Thursday once again, and I must say it's time for some ideas! Although some of you have seen these ideas throughout the process of looking through different magazines, watching TLC, or personally attending an event and seeing first hand the wonders of these key elements, it's always good to receive a "reminder" of what is a "must have." Today is all about incorporating key elements that bring out that specific ambiance we all want at our event. That one element that makes you say wow! What is that you might ask? Ceiling Decor! Adding texture and feeling to the upper half of the room can make a huge difference. Items as simple as rose cluster balls and twinkle lights add character and a little something extra. Below are a few different looks when it comes to decorating the upper half of your venue. The best part about all of this is there are so many other ways to get creative as well! You can add lanterns, chandeliers, floral arrangements, fabric, twinkle lights, etc.

Ceiling decor is a must. Period.

It's Trendy Thursday

It's "Trendy Thursday" everyone. So what's the new trend for today? Many weddings that I have been to over the past year or so have been shall I say, "sporting," a new look. It's not just any look, it's a GORGEOUS look! This look is a combination of Chandeliers and beautiful alter pieces. Some refer to them as Chuppas, Arches, etc. They have the ability to make your ceremony and reception really stand out. Chandeliers provide a stunning ambiance effect to the room. Trust me, I have been seeing this look for a while and it never gets old. The "wow" factor has indeed held strong when it comes to this specific look.

Below are a few pictures that I took at a wedding recently. Unfortunately, I did not have the luxury of planning this beautiful event. However, I did get great ideas in the process of attending it. I hope you receive some great ideas for your upcoming wedding. Trust me, this is one idea you should definitely incorporate into your special day. You'll have everyone in awe at how beautiful your day was! If you need help, call me :)

Chandeliers are gorgeous when incorporated into your wedding!

This is a gorgeous color combination scheme.
Sage green, orange, corals, pinks, and browns.

This is breathtaking. The picture does not do it justice.
